Welcome to The Patriot Way – New England Patriots News From Around the Web

– There are a number of players not expected to play for this evening’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.  The Patriots may be the first team to play an entire game without using a tight end.  I would expect Darrelle Revis and Tom Brady to get some time this week, but not Rob Gronkowski who has still not been cleared for contact.

-At least one player is ready to go.

– Nonetheless, there are still a few key areas to watch during the game.  The offensive line is what I am eager to see, given their poor performance last week and the scrutiny new offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo will face this year as he replaces Dante Scarnecchia.

– Not sure when Danny Amendola would have to do this, but it’s good to know he can if the need ever arises.

– Do the past few seasons give any insight onto how this years Patriots roster will be structured?  We know there are still more than a few jobs up for grabs at this point in camp.

– Doug Kyed takes a look at the Patriots practice from Thursday.  Rookie running back James White continues to impress in camp, lining up on the field with fellow running back Shane Vereen at times.  That should be a nightmare matchup for many defenses.
