Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.
Mike Reiss highlights the second safety spot as a position to continue to monitor as we move towards the regular season. A number of players have been used to start next to Devin McCourty thus far, including Patrick Chung, a guy who we all remember as pretty awful safety.
Here are ESPN Boston’s day 21 camp observations.
From Jeff Howe, why cornerback Alfonzo Dennard is confident in his progress this last week. Dennard is a solid corner, and the Pats need him at 100% health if they want to boast one of the best pass defenses in the league this year.
Also from Howe, a breakdown of Tom Brady‘s stats over the course of these joint practices, as well as his receivers’ production. Julian Edelman is still his top target, but interstingly enough, Brandon LaFell has pulled even with Danny Amendola for the second spot. I think we are going to see LaFell have a big 2014 campaign.
And finally, some nice photos from yesterday’s practice, courtesy of ESPN Boston.
