The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news from around the web.

Who is receiver Brian Tyms? Mike Reiss explains.

Here are the Patriots offensive snaps breakdown from Thursday’s game. As Mike Reiss notes, Josh Boyce receiving 32 snaps really speaks to where Bill Belichick sees him in relation to the rest of the receiving corps. As of right now, I would put Boyce as the sixth wideout on the depth chart, behind Edelman, Amendola, Dobson, LaFell, and Thompkins.

And here are the defensive snaps for the Patriots. It was interesting to see cornerback Logan Ryan receive 40 snaps, although I think it has to do with Alfonzo Dennard‘s injury. With that said, it is obvious that Ryan is not quite on the same level as Brandon Browner, or perhaps even Dennard. I do feel like he had a rare bad game, and will improve, but let’s pump the breaks on the Logan Ryan hype.

And finally, let’s give a shout-out to Oliver Thomas, who is covering the Patriots for Mass Live this week. This particular piece shines a light on Brian Tymes, and how he is making the most of his opportunities.
