Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.
The Patriots held their first practice with Washington yesterday, in preparation for Thursday’s preseason tilt. Here is Mike Reiss’ camp report.
Jarrett Bell of the USA Today talks about this new Patriots defense, and their renewed sense of tenacity.
Bleacher Report’s James Christensen checks New England’s week two stock report. He mentions that Stevan Ridley‘s stock is down, which is understandable because of rookie James White‘s recent rise. But Ridley is still by far the most talented back on this team, and I believe he will have a terrific 2014 campaign.
From Jason Reid of the Washington Post, how the Skins could learn a lot from New England.
Mike Reiss passes along some of his thoughts on Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett. I completely agree with everything said here. Mallett has a ridiculously good arm, but I would not be comfortable with him as my starting quarterback. He still has a long ways to go.
And finally, some pictures from yesterday’s practice, courtesy of ESPN Boston.
