Darrelle Revis Has High Praise For Tom Brady

The best quarterback in the NFL has been going up against the best cornerback in the NFL over the last week and a half, and the results have been spectacular. Darrelle Revis wins a few, then Tom Brady wins a few. Back and forth they go, forming a nice little competition as they prepare for the regular season.

Revis spoke about Brady yesterday, and man, he had some nice words for the quarterback: (From Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald)

“I’ll tell you what, it’s not because I’m his teammate –- I played against him a number of years when I was in New York -– he’s one of the best to ever play,” Revis said. “You can see it even in practice by going against him every day. He’s a hard worker, and he brings the best out of you. It’s awesome, man. Going back and forth, I’m not going to call it a competition. We’re teammates. We’re just trying to get each other better, and we’re trying to work hard together. Sometimes he gets a play. It goes back and forth. The good thing about it is it’s great competition and the only thing we can do is look at it as getting each other better and just going out there and working hard.”

Saying he is one of the best to ever play is high praise, but I’m pretty sure Brady would appreciate his comment about him working hard even more. Brady prides himself on working his butt off every day, in an effort to continue to get better. And I am sure Revis does the same exact thing.

With these two guys going at it everyday, I think we will see an even better Brady next year, as well as a better Revis. I can’t wait.
