The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Tight end Rob Gronkowsk has been cleared to play.

Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston talks about the players that have avoided the PUP list, like defensive tackle Vince Wilfork. After it was announced that Rob Gronkowsi had been cleared to play, we all forgot about Wilfork, who will play a key role for the Pats in 2014.

Lorenzo Reyes of the USA Today breaks down the Patriots team, and tries to decide if they will snap their 10 year Super Bowl drought.

The Patriots have released rookie wide receiver Tyler McDonald, and have re-signed Greg Orton.

Rob Ninkovich was one of the players that took the podium yesterday in Foxboro, and he talked about how improving the third down defense will be key for the team this year. Adding Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner will definitely help.

Devin McCourty is one of the best safeties in the league, but according to Jeff Howe, the Patriots have yet to talk to him about a contract extension. They better lock this guy up eventually. He is too important to lose.

And finally, we go back to Mike Reiss, who expects the Patriots to ease Gronk back into things, rather than throw him right into the fire.
