Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Nine Patriots have not been cleared to practice in training camp. Aaron Dobson and Alfonzo Dennard are among these nine, and while obviously it is never good to not be cleared at this point, the good news is they can come back at any time during camp. These two will play a huge role for the Patriots this year, making it vital that Bill Belichick and company don’t rush them back.

The Patriots have also signed defensive tackle Eathyn Manumaleuna, while releasing Seali’i Epenesa.

Josh Alper of PFT has the Patriots at number four in his preseason power rankings. I think this is a decent spot for New England. I personally would put them a little higher, but slotting them in at number four shows that Alper recognizes they are elite.

And finally, here is Nick O’Malley’s breakdown of of Kenbrell Thompkins and Josh Boyce, and how they are on the bubble as training camp approaches. I like both of these players, and I believe both will make the final roster. I simply don’t think Jeremy Gallon has what it takes to move past either of these two second year players.
