After the New England Patriots released Jeremy Johnson, and Reese Wiggins on Thursday, they had a few empty roster spots to work with heading into camp.
Patriots are re-signing former Maine WR Derrick Johnson today, per source. Knee injury has healed since June 9 release.

I am not expecting either of these two players to make the final roster, but at the very least, they will give Bill Belichick two extra bodies to work with in the coming weeks. Injuries are a big part of training camp, so you absolutely cannot get caught with your pants down by leaving your roster too thin.
Anybody else absolutely pumped for camp to begin? It’s been awhile since we saw some actual football from these Patriots, and I can’t wait to see them on the field, particularly with their new acquisitions. (It’s going to be surreal to see Darrelle Revis in a Patriots uniform).
