The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Defensive lineman Armond Armstead announced his retirement from the NFL yesterday. Armstead was a talented player coming out of the CFL, but health issues brought his career to a halt.

From James Dudko of Bleacher Report, here are five players that face a make or break training camp for the Patriots. He interestingly lists rookie running back James White in this group, which is the one player I disagree with. White is a talented back, and while it would take a lot for him to leapfrog into a position where he would be getting a lot of touches each week, I think as of right now, he is entrenched as the third back behind Stevan Ridley, and Shane Vereen.

Nick O’Malley previews the tight ends as we move towards training camp.

Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston re-sets the defensive tackle group after Armstead announced his retirement. This shouldn’t shake the Patriots too much, as they appeared to be preparing to go without him, but losing a talent like that is never a good thing.

And finally, Forbes has some interesting numbers regarding Patriots ticket sales for 2014.
