Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news from around the web.

NFL.com’s Greg Rosenthal says linebacker Jamie Collins will be one of the players that will be making a leap in 2014. I love Collins’ game, and I am expecting big things from him in 2014. He is an athletic freak, and with one year of experience already under his belt, the sky is the limit for this youngster.

Ian Logue agrees, as he highlights Collins in his pre-training camp spotlight. I will be interested to see how he looks in camp with the pads on. You can really see how much of a freak he is once real football is being played.

KC Joyner of ESPN says the Patriots have the best secondary in the NFL. Not the Seahawks. I am a big fan of the New England Patriots’ defensive backfield, but I don’t think they are ahead of Seattle just yet. Perhaps they will prove that they deserve to be number one as the season progresses, but to me, the Pats are number two right now.

And finally, we have more news on the Aaron Hernandez front. The New England Patriots offered to give 317 pages of records on Hernandez over to his lawyers, but wouldn’t allow them to take the original scouting report.
