Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.
In the first link of the day, we go to Pats Pulpit writer Rich Hill, and his piece on “winning” offensive lineman of the New England Patriots. He talks about how great a group the Patriots had during that 2007 season, and how important it was to have that group of Mankins/Koppen/Light. Those three rank among the best “winners” in NFL history.
Next we move over to ESPN Boston, and Mike Reiss’ continued “Checking the Locks” pieces, this time with the focus on the New England Patriots tight ends. With how much uncertainty around the position, it will definitely be interesting to see how it plays out, especially with those two interesting undrafted free agent rookies in Justin Jones, and Asa Watson.
Again looking to the past, Jarrett Bell notes that the Patriots are at the tenth anniversary of their last Super Bowl title in 2004, and how the clock is really starting to tick down with the Golden Boy’s time running out.
Finally, we go back to Oliver Thomas of NEPatriotsDraft.com to look at his roster projection, the last time we’ll get a good look at this team before training camp starts to give us new leads. The “calm before the storm” as Thomas notes.
