The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Field Yates of ESPN Boston wonders if Tom Brady is actually the Patriots’ biggest bargain. It is pretty amazing to see that Brady’s cap hit for 2014 ranks 11th among quarterbacks. We all know that Brady is not the 11th best signal caller in the game, so the Patriots are getting a steal with number 12 this coming year.

According to NFL insiders, Tom Brady is the best quarterback in the game. After Sam Monson’s article earlier this offseason, it is good to hear that the NFL actually respects Brady’s game. I personally think he is the best in the NFL, although just hearing that everyone agrees he is elite is good enough for me.

The Patriots say they don’t owe Aaron Hernandez anything.

And finally, Richard Hill of ‘Pats Pulpit’ talks about Devin McCourty, and why he deserves a lucrative contract extension. I completely agree here. McCourty is so underrated among fans, I don’t think they appreciate how good of a safety he has become. I have been arguing all offseason that he is up there with Earl Thomas of Seattle, which would warrant McCourty getting a lot of money.
