The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News From Around The Web

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Darrele Revis sat down with Ed Werder of ESPN a few days ago, and he touched on a few subjects, most notably why he came to New England. Revis saying that winning a Super Bowl was extremely important in his decision speaks to how he views this Patriots organization. Despite what a lot of opposing fan-bases say, Brady and Belichick are still near the top of the NFL, and they will be competing for a championship come January once again.

From ‘Pats Pulpit’, here is a great piece on the blueprint for the Patriots offense this season.

Pete Prisco, writer over at CBS Sports, comes out with a piece every offseason detailing who is the most underrated, and overrated player on each team. This year he ranks guard Logan Mankins as the most overrated Patriot, and safety Devin McCourty as the most underrated Patriot.

I completely agree with both of these picks. I love Mankins, especially his toughness, but he simply is not the player he used to be. And that is not saying he is a bad player, he just isn’t elite anymore. As for McCourty, I have been making a case all offseason that he is up there with Earl Thomas as one of the two best safeties in the league. I love his game, and he will continue to get better next year.
