The Patriot Way – New England Patriots News From Around the Web

Welcome to The Patriot Way – New England Patriots News and links from around the web

– Here is a closer look at first round pick Dominique Easley’s new contract.  Pretty standard for a rookie deal thanks to the new CBA.

– It appears the Patriots week one opponent will be without a key member of their offensive line.

– Here is one early take on what the Patriots roster will look like at the start of the season.  I highly doubt the Patriots keep only four corners (not counting Brandon Browner) and three safeties.  I also expect rookie Jeremy Gallon to make the roster due to his upside and return ability.  That being said, there will be some talented players cut this camp.

– Tom Brady is poised to move up the all-time ranks, statistically speaking, this season.  I hope we as football fans never take for granted just how good he really is.

– Doug Kyed gives out mini-camp superlatives to the roster.  If Jamie Collins really did gain mass without losing speed, look out.

– Collins earned a spot on Blear Report’s top sophomores to watch in 2014.

– The trial date for Aaron Hernandez in connection his double murder charge has been tentatively set for May of 2015.  This date could change given Hernandez’s first murder trial is scheduled for this upcoming October.

– At least one member of the Patriots organization is getting into the World Cup.  Too bad they were eliminated already though.
