Aaron Hernandez Put In The Hospital, Back In Jail An Hour Later

Yesterday former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez left his jail cell for an hour, to go to the hospital for an undisclosed condition.

From ESPN Boston:

Hernandez was brought to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford Saturday and was back at the Bristol County jail in Dartmouth about an hour later, Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson said Sunday.

Hernandez of course has been charged with two sets of murders, the first a 2012 Boston double-murder, and the second occurring last year in Connecticut. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges, including him threatening to kill a prison guard and his family earlier in the year.

This isn’t exactly a continuation of what has been a horrible story, but simply an added detail that we will continue to follow on our way to Hernandez’s actual trial. I think I can speak for everybody when I say that I hope he is put away for a long, long time. It is extremely sad to see how someone with just about everything (fame, money, family) go down this road. Based on everything we have seen, Hernandez turned out to be just about as bad as you can get, and it is amazing how he got even close to a football field.

Hernandez is set to be back in court this week.
