So this is interesting.
According to multiple reports, including Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, and Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the New England Patriots have shown interest in free agent cornerback Brandon Flowers.
The Patriots have shown “a little interest” in Brandon Flowers, per source. Chiefs cut Flowers on Friday mostly for cap reasons.

Source says Patriots are also in the mix for Brandon Flowers. Ravens have maintained interest

This comes as a surprise, but in all reality, I think we all could see this coming. Bill Belichick is the type of coach to look into all possible scenarios, even if they are obviously not going to happen (DeSean Jackson earlier in the year).
The cornerback position is probably the strongest positional group the Patriots have, as they managed to sign Darrelle Revis, and Brandon Browner earlier in the offseason. Adding a talent like Flowers would definitely help the group as a whole, but I just don’t see the need to bring him in. Chemistry is an extremely important aspect of a football team, and while I don’t necessarily know that the addition of Flowers would screw up the Pats current “harmony”, I wouldn’t risk it if I were running the team.
At the same time, if Flowers were willing to come and play here at a low price, and Belichick knew for a fact that Flowers wouldn’t create any problems, then I think giving him a shot would elevate the Pats secondary above Seattle’s elite group.
However when it is all said and done, I don’t think the Patriots should risk this move. We will see how this situation plays out over the next couple of days.
