The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News 6/17

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is challenging the evidence in one of the murder cases he faces. Hernandez also pleaded not guilty to the charges of attacking a fellow inmate, and threatening a guard.

The Patriots have cut tight end Kyle Auffray, and they now have an open roster spot available. I personally think the Pats should look to add a defensive tackle with this open spot. They are a bit weak at that position.

Mike Reiss and Field Yates debate the Pats secondary, and whether or not it is a top five unit. I am going to agree with Yates on this one, as I think that this group will not only be top five, but it will challenge Seattle’s bunch for the best overall secondary in the league. The only big question mark in my mind is the second safety spot. Duron Harmon is a fine young prospect, but he has to prove that he can get it done in a complete season. If he does, they may be better that that squad up in Seattle.

And finally, Alec Shane over at Pats Pulpit gives us the seventh best moment of the 2013 Patriots season.
