The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News 6/14

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to New England Patriots news and analysis from around the web.

Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston breaks down the Patriots receiver position, after the team signed former SMU wideout Jeremy Johnson. The way I see it, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman will once again be the top two targets for quarterback Tom Brady this season, and they will have terrific campaigns. However the wild-card is second year man Aaron Dobson. He has all the tools needed to become a great deep threat in this league, and now we just have to see if he can put it all together. If he can, a whole different dimension of this offense will be opened up, and we may see them return a bit to “the old days”, when Randy Moss ran wild over the entire NFL.

The NFL.com crew debates Rob Gronkowski, and what we should expect from him in 2014. I agree with most of the analysts in that when he is on the field, Gronk will be just as dominant as he used to be. When healthy, there isn’t a better tight end in the league, and it is not even close. When Brady has his big tight end available, it is lights out for the defense he is facing.

And finally, we return to Mike Reiss, who gives us more information on what he has seen thus far at Pats OTA’s.
