Well it looks like he got his wish, as according to Tom Curran of CSNNE, Williams was in New England yesterday, for a visit with the Pats.
Ex Vikings DT Kevin Williams is visiting the Patriots today. He’s 33 and would be entering 12th year. Mulling retirement. #PatriotsTalk

I wrote about this possible scenario yesterday, and to be completely honest with you, I don’t know how I would feel if Bill Belichick were to sign him. The Patriots have a solid group of defensive linemen already available, so adding a veteran like Williams isn’t something that they absolutely have to do.
On the other hand, as we saw last year, you can never have enough depth on the inside of your defense, especially with Vince Wilfork and Tommy Kelly both coming off of big injuries. If Williams can continue his play of past years, then I definitely think he could have a positive impact for the Pats in 2014. But at the same time, 33 year old defensive tackles don’t have the best track record in the NFL.
Does this visit mean Williams will be a Patriot next year? Only time will tell.
