The Patriot Way-New England Patriots News 6/5

Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.

In case you haven’t heard by now, the Patriots have signed linebacker James Anderson, and released wide receiver Mark Harrison.

Mike Reiss takes a look at the Pats group of linebackers, following yesterday’s signing of James Anderson. As Reiss notes, I don’t think New England expects Anderson to take on a starting role, which will allow him to play to his full potential. If Bill Belichick were bringing him in to play starter minutes, I would be a little worried. But as a depth player, I think he could really help the Pats defense.

Musket Fire’s very own Jed Ober broke down the Pats options at tight end yesterday.

And finally, ESPN Boston’s Field Yates takes a deeper look at the defensive end, offensive line, and wide receiver positions. There are a few different opinions you could take on the receiver position, and for now, I am going to be the optimist. I think Aaron Dobson will make that second year jump, and become an impact player for Tom Brady in 2014. He has the necessary tools, now we just need to see him put it together on the field.
