Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.
Here is what Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston noted from yesterday’s OTA’s in Foxboro. Reiss says that Vince Wilfork and Sebastian Vollmer both participated, which is great news for the Pats. Those two are integral parts in this New England machine, and Bill Belichick will need them healthy come September.
For a different perspective, here is the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe, and his take on what went on yesterday in the Pats OTA’s. Even though it is only May, Howe mentioning that Brady became frustrated with all of his receivers save for Julian Edelman really caught my eye. One of Brady’s problems last year was not trusting the young guys, and it ultimately ended up hurting the Patriots. Brady must learn to trust the young guys, if he wants a fourth Super Bowl.
Wide receiver Danny Amendola struggled with a groin injury last year, but he now says that it is 100% healthy. I am a big fan of Amendola, and I defended him throughout the entire 2013 season, which contrary to popular belief, was a decent campaign. Now that he is healthy, I will be expecting big things from him this year.
And finally, here are some nice pictures of the Patriots practicing yesterday, courtesy of ESPN Boston.
