According to Doug Kyed of NESN, defensive tackle Vince Wilfork was back out on the field today, however he was limited.
Vince Wilfork was limited in practice during Patriots OTAs today, according to a source. Good sign that he’s already on the field.

As Kyed mentions, the fact that he is back out there is good news, as recovering from an achilles injury is never easy for someone his size (or age for that matter).
Wilfork is one of, if not the best run stopping defensive linemen in the NFL, and the Patriots need him as healthy as he can get come September. After Wilfork went down with that foot injury in week four last year, it was obvious that this defense was not the same. Yes, some key guys stepped in and gained valuable experience, but I think we all would have traded them in for a healthy Wilfork.
As OTA’s start up, it will be the first time all the Pats players will be back on the field together, which is not only important for coaches to evaluate them, but it allows the players to build a chemistry together, something that is extremely underrated in today’s game.
