Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.
Mike Reiss over at ESPN Boston talks about the history of the Pats quarterback situation. With Ryan Mallett and Jimmy Garoppolo both in the fold, it will be interesting to see if Bill Belichick decides to keep all three on the roster. Since 2000, they have carried two quarterbacks five times, and three signals callers eight times. (One year they had four).
Bleacher Report’s Sterling Xie breaks down the right cornerback position, and decides who will win that battle. I think Browner will ultimately end up with the job, but since he has to serve a four game suspension to start the year, Alfonzo Dennard or Logan Ryan may be able to keep the job throughout the year. No matter what happens, the Pats are in good hands on that side of the field, and I think their pass defense will have a very good year.
And finally, NESN’s Doug Kyed previews the Pats OTA’s. One of, if not the biggest issue facing this team, is how they will respond to all the injuries from 2013. A big chunk of this squad sustained nasty injuries last year, and a lot of those players will be key to advancing deep into the 2014 playoffs. We will begin to know how they are doing in a little while.
