Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.
Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston dissects the moves the Patriots made in this 2014 offseason. I 100% agree with Reiss’ assessment of their best, and riskiest moves of the offseason. Adding Darrelle Revis instantly makes their secondary one of the best in the league, and when you combine that with the signing Brandon Browner, New England may be home to the best back end in football. As for the riskiest move, there is no doubt picking Dominique Easley claims that title. This selection could either be great for the franchise, or absolutely blow up in their face.
Bleacher Report’s James Christensen talks Dominique Easley, and what kind of impact he will have in New England.
Marc Sessler projects the Pats starters for the 2014 season. I think Logan Ryan has a good shot at starting over Alfonzo Dennard to start the year. I love Dennard’s game, but Ryan really showed up last year. It will be a fun positional battle to monitor.
And finally, Nick Underhill breaks down the chances of Kenbrell Thompkins, and Josh Boyce getting cut later this year. I don’t think Boyce should be worried about his job, as he tore it up when on the field last year, but Thompkins should definitely be worried. I honestly don’t think he will make the final roster.
