With the NFL draft now complete, Vegas has already released Super Bowl odds for each NFL team. Obviously the draft changes a lot of things for each squad, making this an opportune time to make odds for the 2014 championship.

The Patriots check in at 15/2, which is third in the NFL, and second in the AFC. They are tied with the San Francisco 49ers, and behind the Broncos, and the Seahawks. Take a look at the top teams:

Seattle Seahawks: 6/1

Denver Broncos: 7/1

New England Patriots: 15/2

San Francisco 49ers: 15/2

Green Bay Packers: 12/1

Chicago Bears: 20/1

Indianapolis Colts: 20/1

New Orleans Saints: 20/1

Philadelphia Eagles: 22/1

Carolina Panthers: 28/1

Kansas City Chiefs: 33/1

Pittsburgh Steelers: 33/1

I think the top four teams in these odds rankings actually reflect who the best teams are in the NFL. The Seahawks, Broncos, Niners, and Patriots in my opinion are the four best teams in the league, and I honestly think it will remain that way throughout the 2014 season. Now, I am a little shaky on the defending champions, and I think the Niners will come away with the NFC West title, but as of right now, I see no reason why Seattle should be bumped out of the top four.

Sounds about right. The only weak link there is the eagles in my opinion. Maybe the saints if they continue their road woes, but otherwise I think those are good odds.

…seems like every year a team in the middle of the pack will emerge and move up as playoff contenders…wondering what team (or two) it will be this coming season.
