After the draft came to an end, the frenzy of signing undrafted free agents has hit a high. In addition to the five players already signed, Field Yates of ESPN Boston reports that they have also signed ECU’s Justin Jones, who is a tight end.
Mentioned former ECU TE Justin Jones as an intriguing prospect earlier. He’s now a Patriot.

This is the second tight end signed by the Patriots, which coming into this draft, was a huge need. Aside from Rob Gronkowski, New England didn’t have any legit passing threats to go along with him. Hopefully the addition of Jones, and Tyler Beck will help Tom Brady and company get their offense back on track.
Jones is a massive guy, standing at 6’8, and weighing 274 pounds. The combination of him and Gronk standing side by side would be an interesting sight for opposing defenses.
Jones also missed the entire 2013 season due to his failure to make grades.
