Could this draft get any worse for the Pats in terms of tight ends? Shortly after Jace Amaro was taken by the Jets, Troy Niklas was snatched up by the Cardinals.
At this point, the best tight end remaining would probably be C.J. Fiedorowicz out of Iowa. He isn’t nearly as talented as Amaro or Nilkas, but that is all that is left for New England.
If Bill Belichick decides to pass on Fiedorowicz, I think the Patriots should either draft another receiver, or go all out on the defensive line. There are still a lot of good pass rushers left in this draft, and with all of these tight ends off the board, that may be the best “value” route for New England.
Kony Ealy is still out there, Scott Crichton has yet to be picked, and Louis Nix III, the big run stopper out of Notre Dame is all still available as well.
Where do you want Belichick and the Pats to go at this point?
