Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.

Mike Reiss dissects the Will Smith signing.

PFT’s Josh Alper provides us with what he thinks are the Pats draft needs. I agree completely with Alper’s top need. I have been saying all offseason that the Pats need to address the tight end position, even over the defensive line. There is absolutely no one behind Rob Gronkowski, and that is assuming Gronk will even be healthy.

James Christensen details the biggest questions the Patriots face heading into the draft. An interesting topic among Pats fans over this 2014 offseason has been the backup quarterback position. Christensen addresses this here, talking about Ryan Mallett, and potential prospects that may replace him.

And finally, we return to Mike Reiss who talks about the quarterback position, and why drafting Tom Brady’s replacement can wait. A great read from Reiss. Definitely worth your time.
