Today is May fourth, and for those of you that don’t know, it is ‘Star Wars Day’. This is because of the saying that grew popular from the movies, “may the force be with you”. Since today is May fourth, this has been turned into, “may the fourth be with you”.

Stupid? Probably. But it gives big sports sites time to make cool analogies between the movies and football, and more often than not, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are involved.

Here is how the ESPN show ‘SportsNation’ broke it down:

Luke Skywalker: Andrew Luck

The Force is strong within young Andrew Luck. The NFL’s future looks bright in his hands.

Darth Vader: Tom Brady

Tom Brady’s reign has waned recently, but he still has an ever-intimidating grip on the NFL.

Emperor Palpatine: Bill Belichick

Bill Belichick has ruled at Tom Brady’s side for years with an ever-present scowl and hoodie.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning’s mastery of the Force has been the one of the few obstacles in the evil Empire’s way through the years.

Chewbacca: Brett Keisel

Brett Keisel and Steelers have also attacked the Empire with fierce strength and steely resolve.
