Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.

Tom Brady and Vince Wilfork were spotted at the Kentucky Derby together.

Brian Galliford’s mock draft has the Pats taking running back Carlos Hyde in round two of this week’s NFL draft. This is an interesting pick. I personally am a big fan of Stevan Ridley, and I have faith that he will learn to hold onto the damn football. However Hyde does have talent, and if Bill Belichick doesn’t trust Ridley, adding someone that has a similar skill-set wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Nick O’Malley over at masslive.com gives us his day three tight end sleepers. Crockett Gilmore from Colorodo State is my favorite of the bunch. I think he could become a nice NFL starter in the future.

And finally, running back Shane Vereen talks about his wrist that he injured early in the 2013 season. Here is what Vereen had to say:

“It’s not going to feel great tomorrow, it’s not going to feel awful. It won’t be 100 percent probably for a while, but it’s good enough and I’m working on strengthening it and getting it back.”
