Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.

NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks went back and analyzed the 2012 draft, and re-drafted the players as of right now. He had Pats defensive end Chandler Jones moved up to the 15th spot, and linebacker Dont’a Hightower staying put at number 25.

The Pats are one of many teams interested in selecting defensive tackle Dominique Easley, who is coming out of Florida. Assuming he is healthy, Easley would be a great pick for the Patriots. He has a ton of talent, but his health is a major issue.

Be sure to check out James Christensen’s seven round mock draft for New England. Christensen goes with a huge surprise in round one, as he has the Pats going with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Acquiring Tom Brady‘s future replacement would be great, but I think they have to go all in for Brady’s last couple of years. This team is a few pieces away from being elite, and I don’t think they should blow it on Bridgewater.

And finally, ESPN Boston’s Mike Reiss continues his ‘Beyond The First Round’ feature, with the quarterbacks.

One of my team mates from high school, Jason Bromley (Syracuse, DT) is going into this draft! It’d be insane if the Pats drafted him (Reiss from ESPN wrote an article saying it’s possible we take him in the 5th round).

As for Easely, he went to Curtis HS. I remember his senior year (my junior year).. We almost played Curtis in the playoffs, and if we did, Bromley was at Left Tackle matched up against him but he was somewhat injured that week. If he went down, they would have put me in… Dodged a bullet there, Easely was known for pushing linemen back 40 yards in high school
