Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.

Over at ESPN Boston, Mike Reiss gives his take on the Pats, and the possibility of selecting a quarterback this May.

Bleacher Report’s James Christensen shares five free agents that he believes are still within reach for New England. Christensen lists Ed Reed as a potential target for Bill Belichick and company, but I personally think Reed would be a waste of a roster spot. He was an elite safety when he was in his prime, but I don’t think he has anything left in the tank. And on top of that, the Pats already have a terrific free safety in Devin McCourty. Reed and McCourty just wouldn’t gel.

Pats Pulpit’s Richard Hill breaks down whether or not the Pats need to target the ‘Y’ tight end, or the ‘F’ tight end. Hill believes the ‘F’ position is more important at this point, and I agree. Assuming he is healthy, Rob Gronkowski should be able to fill the ‘Y’ spot wonderfully. But they have nobody to fill the empty ‘F’ slot as of right now.
