Welcome to The Patriot Way – New England Patriots News and links from around the web

- CBS Sports has the Patriots in their draft spotlight, taking a look at the overall needs the team has and examining 5 potential prospects that could be coming to Foxboro in May.

- One of Bill Belichick’s proposals at the NFL annual meeting would give coached the ability to challenge penalties, and the idea is gaining some traction.  I understand and support the concept, but I question how viable an option this really is.  Penalties, to varying degrees, happen every play.  Should big plays be called back for ticky tack penalties away from the play upon review?

-  Tight End Rob Gronkowski is progressing as he returns from the knee injury suffered against the Browns last season.  Getting Gronkowski back healthy, and keeping him that way, is important in the offense reaching its full potential.  New receivers and all, the offense didn’t really start to click until Gronkowski came back last year.  This is why I can see the Patriots selecting a tight end higher in the draft (rounds 1-3), not only to replace Aaron Hernandez but as insurance for Gronkowski.
