According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1, the Patriots will be meeting with former South Carolina wide receiver Bruce Ellington this week.

Ellington is a talented guy, and I think he could fit into the Pats offense as a second or third round draft choice. He is a smaller guy, standing at 5’9, but the Patriots have already invested in taller guys at this point, so I don’t think it is a priority for them to go out and select big targets.

New England bolstered its receiving corps via free agency, as they added Brandon LaFell, in addition to re-signing Julian Edelman. But Tom Brady can always use more talent infused into his offense, and Ellington has the potential to produce in this league.

Ellington caught 106 balls, amassed 1,586 yards, and totaled 17 total touchdowns in his three year career with the Gamecocks.
