Today the NFL released its 2014 NFL Preseason schedule, which means we get to finally see who our New England Patriots will be facing to help sharpen them up for the start of the regular season.
Here is the official schedule for the Patriots:
Week One: Road vs Washington Redskins
Week Two: Home vs Philadelphia Eagles
Week Three: Home vs Carolina Panthers
Week Four: Road vs New York Giants
So there you have it guys, the 2014 New England Patriots preseason schedule. Some important things to note, all four teams are from the NFC, and they face three of the four NFC East teams. I would also expect the Patriots to participate in a joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles like they did in the last preseason. Also Patrick Chung will be seeing his former team, if he makes it that far into the preseason. Patriots fans will get to see the Panthers, of course last time we saw them, they escaped with a controversial victory. The Giants are also a team that the Patriots have seen a number of times in the recent past in the preseason, and we all know about the history between those teams. With all that being said, the preseason doesn’t mean much in terms of who the Patriots are playing, but should give us great insight into how the team is shaping up. Only another six months or so folks, football will be back soon.
