Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.
Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston breaks down if the numbers of newly signed Patriots are available in New England. The only two guys who will have to change numbers, is Patrick Chung, and Brandon LaFell. LaFell has already announced that he would be wearing number 19, and it is likely that Chung will take 23, the same number he wore last year in Philadelphia (he wore 25 in New England, which is now taken by Kyle Arrington).
Over at Bleacher Report, Gary Davenport takes a look at the Pats secondary secondary after the release of Adrian Wilson. As Davenport mentions, the weakest area of this Pats defense is the safety spot next to Devin McCourty. Duron Harmon is a solid player, but he is young, and there is absolutely no solid depth behind him.
Erik Frenz details how the Patriots will find the perfect tight end prospect this May.
And finally, Mike Reiss gives us his thoughts on Chris Johnson, and whether or not the Pats should now target him. Here is a quote from Reiss:
Just don’t see the Patriots getting into any type of bidding competition at a position they have shied away from spending even moderate dollars the last two years.
