Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Pats news and analysis from around the web.

Left tackle Nate Solder shared some thoughts on Dante Scarnecchia. Here is a quote Solder gives on the loss of Scarnecchia:

“It is a big loss. He was so much a part of the team. I think with anything in this league, and with this team, you just kind of piece it together and keep moving forward. I think that’s what he wants and that’s what we fully expect will happen.”

The Patriots nearly signed Maurice Jones-Drew. The Pats need to replace LeGarrette Blount, and if they had been able to grab Jones-Drew, their backfield may have been the best in the league.

Richard Hill over at Pats Pulpit breaks down why New England is hosting Johnny Manziel. Great stuff from Hill. Make sure to check it out.

And finally, Field Yates gives us valuable insight into prospects visits. Yates points out that visits don’t always mean the team is interested in drafting a particular player. That is probably the case with New England bringing in all of these quarterbacks.
