According to Tom Curran of CSNNE, the New England Patriots have signed safety Patrick Chung.
The Patriots are re-signing safety Patrick Chung who was released by the Eagles after one season in Philly.

I honestly don’t get this move. Yes, the Pats are lacking depth at the safety position, but Patrick Chung is not a good football player. Duron Harmon is a much better option at this point, even though he is only in his second year in the NFL. Harmon has shown that he can cover well, hold up against the run, and more importantly, he has picked up the Patriots defensive system fairly quickly. Chung is a physical guy, which is nice, but that is the only positive trait he brings to the table. As of right now, Chung would be the fourth safety on Bill Belichick’s defense, sitting behind Devin McCourty, Harmon, and Tavon Wilson.
In his five year career, Chung has totaled 202 tackles, seven interceptions, three sacks, and one defensive touchdown.
