According to Albert Breer of NFL.com, the Patriots have visited with quarterback Blake Bortles. Of course this news was reported right after it was revealed that Johnny Manziel would be visiting New England tomorrow.
It’s interesting, b/c in addition to Manziel, the Patriots visited with Blake Bortles while checking out UCF prospects in Orlando last week.

In both cases, I doubt the Pats will act on either of these prospects. It is highly unlikely that they will drop down to pick 29, and there is no way Bill Belichick will trade up to acquire a quarterback. If the Patriots do want to go after a quarterback, it will probably happen in the later rounds, where the likes of A.J. McCarron and Zach Mettenberger will be available.
Bortles completed 67.8% of his passes last year, amassed 3,581 yards, and tossed 25 touchdowns. He also totaled six rushing touchdowns.
