March is coming to an end, and with it, most of the big free agency news is also ending. The Pats made another move yesterday, and while there will probably be a few more minor moves before the draft begins, I think most of the damage Bill Belichick wanted to do is done. Here is a quick recap on New England’s offseason.
Overall, I would say that thus far the Pats are having a terrific offseason. They have addressed their biggest needs, with tight end being the main exception. I expect Bill Belichick and company to heavily pursue tight ends in the draft, mainly because there weren’t a lot of solid players available in free agency.
Realistically speaking, I don’t think the 2014 free agency period could have gone any better up until this point for New England. Hopefully they continue their strong offseason as the draft approaches.
