The Patriots continued their solid offseason today, as they re-signed center Ryan Wendell.
Ryan Wendell has re-signed with the Patriots. Ferreting out the length and other terms still. #PatriotsTalk

The deal is for two years, and it can max out at $8.15 million. Field Yates has the details:
Check that: Wendell’s deal maxes out at $8.15M. He has a roster bonus of $2M each year, with $1.3M to earn in P/T incentives in 2015.

Coming into the offseason, I wanted New England to upgrade the interior of their offensive line, because of the poor play in 2013 from Wendell, and Dan Connolly. But as of right now, Wendell is the best option out there. Dan Connolly will be making way too much money in 2014, so I think he will have to restructure his deal if he wants to remain with New England.
I believe the Pats will target guards and centers in this year’s draft, but for now, re-signing Wendell was a smart move.
