According to NFL.com’s Albert Breer, wide receiver Kenny Britt left New England today without a contract.
Kenny Britt completed his visit with Patriots, left w/o a deal. Both Rams, Pats have shown an interest in signing him. Visits Redskins next.

I am not a big fan of Britt, and given that the Pats receiving corps is looking much better than it did in 2013, I am not surprised that he left today without a deal. Bill Belichick never “overspends” on players he doesn’t need, and this Britt situation may fall under that category.
Britt has talent. There is no denying that. But he is far too inconsistent for my liking, and it seems like he always has another injury that he has to miss time for. Signing Brandon LaFell was a much better, and much safer move for New England, and I think they will be much happier with the LaFell signing.
Britt has played all five seasons of his NFL career in Tennessee, totaling 157 receptions, 2,450 yards, and 19 touchdowns.
