Brandon Browner inks 3-year deal with Patriots

According to Ian Rapoport and cornerback Brandon Browner himself, Browner and the New England Patriots have agreed to a 3-year, $17 million dollar deal. It appears we finally have a confirmation of the rumors that had surfaced the past couple days.

After conflicting reports, it appears we can now officially embrace the notion of a Revis and Browner tandem in the 2014 New England secondary. This unit just went from average to scary good in a matter of 48 hours. I don’t know about you, but I’m sure excited.

I am too, he’s paid like a starter! The question comes now about the role BB will give to BB (got to do that, sorry)! I am thinking about the SS spot, just because of the aggressive style he brings from SEA. I am confident that Dennard and Ryan can do a good job covering guys at RCB and with Revis controlling the left side, McCourty is free to help them out or take a guy himself. At this point Browner is still out there helping someone and Collins gets the TE. The more I think about it, the more I feel thrilled!

BB (the coach) will find ways to utilize these guys all over that secondary, so I’m with you in saying this is quite the thrill. I honestly can’t wait to see this in action!!
