Anybody else feeling a little deja vu? Last year it was Wes Welker, this year it is Aqib Talib. The Broncos have snatched away another key Patriots free agent, as Adam Schefter just reported that Talib agreed to a six year, $57 million contract.

Losing Talib is a big blow for the Pats, but there was not way they would pay him that much money. This now puts a lot of pressure on Bill Belichick and company to make a move for another cornerback, because New England’s defense just isn’t the same without an elite corner locking down half of the field.

Schefter also tweeted that he figures the Patriots will make a strong push for Darrelle Revis, who should be released by the Bucs anytime before 4 p.m. tomorrow.

Antonio Cromartie is another potential option for the Patriots, and while he doesn’t have the talent of a Talib or a Revis, he has proven that he can play good man coverage.
