Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source to Patriots news and analysis from around the web.
Over at Yahoo Sports, Eric Edholm gives us his offseason blueprint for the Patriots. Edholm concurs with most of the NFL world, in saying that the tight end position is “the most glaring need”, for the Pats. Aaron Hernandez is gone, and Rob Gronkowski is recovering from major knee surgery. This leaves them extremely thin in this area, and they should attempt to re-stock it with talent over the course of this offseason.
Boston.com’s Adam Kaufman says that New England should forget about Darrelle Revis, and focus on Aqib Talib. He makes solid points, and when it is all said and done, Revis probably won’t end up in Foxboro. But no one can deny the talent of Revis, and I am sure that nobody would complain if Bill Belichick pulled off this trade.
Mike Reiss continues his “free-agent fit” series, with the defensive tackles up next. I like the idea of New England going after Red Bryant, who previously played in Seattle. His presence on the inside would definitely help begin the process of fixing that 30th ranked run defense.
