Hello, and welcome to another edition of ‘The Patriot Way’, your number one source for Pats news and analysis from around the web.
ESPN Boston’s Field Yates has an awesome read on Rob Gronkowski, and what would have happened if the Patriots hadn’t signed him to a long term contract last year.
James Christensen over at Bleacher Report has the Scouting Combine covered, with his stock report for players that may interest the Patriots. Interestingly enough, Christensen has Jace Amaro slotted as one of his “down” players, due to a poor combine. While I agree that his performance last week in Indianapolis wasn’t the best, I don’t think we should knock him too hard for it.
Be sure to check out Pats Pulpit, as Richard Hill highlights an overlooked area where New England may need to bolster this offseason. I agree with his thought process, as no matter how talented Chandler Jones and Rob Ninkovich are, having them on the field for 95% of the defensive snaps last year is insane. I think Bill Belichick and company will pick up on this as well, and look for them to add some depth behind those two this offseason.
And finally, our very own Jed Ober gives us his reasoning as to why the Pats won’t select Jace Amaro in this year’s draft.
