There has been a lot of rumors surrounding Bill Belichick and Greg Schiano, and whether or not Schiano will join Belichick’s staff in Foxboro. It has been reported by numerous writers that Schiano was with Belichick at the NFL Scouting Combine, which could point towards Schiano heading to New England for the 2014 season.

Ben Volin of the Boston Globe was one of the reporters who said that the two were seen together, as he tweeted this out early Friday morning:

There’s a lot of buzz that Greg Schiano could join the #Patriots staff. I’m told he and Belichick were seen hanging out last night in Indy

I don’t think that this potential hiring would make much of a difference for New England, mostly because I doubt Schiano would gain much power within the organization. But we all know that Belichick loves his Rutgers guys, and Schiano is a former Rutgers head coach.

Will Schiano end up in New England? We shall see in the coming days.
