Hope everyone is staying warm in this cold New England weather and has the chance to either stay home or work from home. In either case, check out below for all the news and updates New England Patriots from around the web.
-Josh Boyce has been placed on the injured reserve, ending his season. No surprise when you think about it, he hasn’t had a huge role in the offense thus far and his injury must mean he is out for at least two weeks. At this point, his potential return is worth less than an open roster spot. All hands on deck in January.
– As a follow up to the Boyce move, the Patriots re-signed Austin Collie. He has shown some positive signs of contributing in the offense, and honestly would not be surprised if he came up with a big play in the playoffs. He seems like that Belichick signing to show up at an opportune time in the playoffs.
-Apparently Hulk Hogan is a Patriots fan, and more specifically he is a Matthew Mulligan fan. This obviously has no bearing on the game or on the team, but I suppose if the Patriots were facing Andre the Giant they would have the edge?
– The staff over at SI.com makes their playoff predictions here. Interesting to see where the Patriots stand in the eyes of members of the media. Shockingly, most people went with chalk, but there are a few surprising picks in there as well. You can check out other predictions for the entire playoffs here, where again the Patriots have low expectations.
– Also from SI.com, the final regular season edition of the power rankings. Can’t argue too much about where the Patriots ended up, though nothing matters now except getting three more W’s.
