As the New England Patriots prepare to square off with the Buffalo Bills this Sunday, it appears that one of their most important players is still out with an injury. Safety Devin McCourty suffered a concussion in the third quarter of last weeks’ game against the Ravens, and he has not returned to the field since. McCourty has quietly had a terrific 2013 campaign, and his presence on the field will be key for the Pats, if they want to make a deep run in the upcoming postseason tournament.

While many view Sunday’s contest against the Bills as an easy matchup, I think the Pats will be in a much closer game than everybody expects. This will be Buffalo’s Super Bowl, and New England will have to come out of the gate hot, if they want to clinch the second seed in the AFC.
