Dec 22, 2013; Baltimore, MD, USA; New England Patriots running back LaGarrette Blount (29) celebrates his touchdown run against the Baltimore Ravens at M

-Mike Reiss with his always great rapid reaction to the game yesterday.  Additionally, the box score and AP recap can be found here.

-Don Banks has a good piece on the blowout win yesterday and what it means for both teams going forward.  Personally I don’t want to see the Ravens make the playoffs.  Not only because I think they would be a real tough out, but also because I just don’t like them.  Call me a homer.

-On the injury front, Devin McCouty left yesterday’s game with a head injury.  This could be a devastating injury to a defense already without stalwarts Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo, if McCourty is out for an extended period of time.  McCourty has been an anchor in the secondary, playing at an all-pro level.  The loss of Shane Vereen would be just as bad.  Here’s hoping they both return healthy soon.

- Check out the Baltimore Sun’s website for their view of yesterday’s game.  Certainly not as cheery.

- Belichick explains the Patriots field trip to the movies to see Lone Survivor. Always interesting to hear about the different motivational techniques that a coach uses with his team, plus we all know of the affinity Belichick has for Navy.

-  An updated look at the playoff picture can be found here.  Real simple for the Patriots, take care of business against the Bills at home and you get a badly needed week of to rest an recover before facing your next opponent.

- Not really newsworthy, but I saw this yesterday and thought it was funny.  He must not be liked in the locker room!
